Nobody knows who actually created bitcoin. It was created by a ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’; a nom-de-plume for either a person, group of people, or nation state.
All we know is that Satoshi Nakamoto was last known to be active in 2011. In their final communication, Nakamoto sent an email to Bitcoin developers on April 23, 2011, stating that they had “moved on to other things”. This marked the end of their direct involvement with the Bitcoin community. Since then, Nakamoto’s identity and whereabouts have remained a mystery.
